My Favorite Days

There are so many things that I love and going to the US Open with Rick and Emily is at the top of the list! Emily got so many autographs this year including Andy Murray! Next year we may try 3 days!

Cici Bellis won the qualifying and earned a spot in the main draw where she won 2 rounds before losing to Kerber
On our way to the Open we stay with Sal and Diane for the night. Celeste and Ameila are 5 now! Emily looks giant next to them!

Sears Tower

The official name is Willis Tower, but no one calls it that! The girls couldn't get to the top fast enough! They loved the heights. The tower had glass boxes that stuck out  from the building, on the 103rd floor, and it was amazing. Super scary to look down, but not as scary as TILT!

Museums

We spent one morning at the Shed Aquarium and we just really saw all the big animals. We didn't go to all the small exhibits, seemed very tedious. Anyway, we saw the dolphin show, saw beluga whales, sharks, and touched the stingrays!
We then walked to the Art Institute and that was amazing! We at lunch there (the best food is usually found in art museums) and went to the Impressionist rooms. There are so many Monet paintings there, many I have never seen, amazing really. Of course the famous Seurat, and lots of others too!

The Bean and The Great Lake

Everyone loves the Bean!
We also went over to the beach on Lake Michigan for a dip in the lake. The water was warm and it was so neat to have the tall buildings next to the beach!

Go Cubs!

What an opportunity to see beautiful Wrigley Field! We loved the ivy, the hot dogs, and the cotton candy. The game had a lot of hits, and Emily made it to the 6th inning (with help from cotton candy)
It was a beautiful night!

Architectural Tour

The girls, and the moms, loved the architectural tour on the river. The buildings are amazing and the guide gave us just enough info about them without being boring.
We LOVE Chicago!
