More Skating!

On Wednesday night we went to see Princesses on Ice! Emily was beyond excited to see all the princesses! She even wore her Sleeping Beauty dress (not my idea). She was really into everything about the entire night, she even loved looking at the other little girls in their princess dresses! At the end of the show all the princesses came out in their "marring dresses" and I thought Emily was going to explode with excitement.

After watching figure skating on TV, Emily decided to try it herself. She likes to watch the girls skate because their dresses are so pretty and "sparkly".

A Good Sport

Emily loves give "haircuts"..."is your hair too long today?" ....is the first question she asks when she wants to fix your hair. Her name is always Julie, the name of the woman who cuts her hair, and my name usually Cinderella...of course. Doug is quite a good sport, sitting still for Emily

because clearly his hair is "too long".

And So It Begins.....

We were very fortunate to acquire VERY cheap seasons passes to Pats Peak. This ski area is about 30 minutes from our house and is a very good "family" mountain. We took Emily there today for he first time and it was a very successful day. We spent a small amount of time in the learning area and then decided to try the harness and explore the mountain. Emily loves ride the chair and REALLY enjoys the skiing part too! She asks to ski again and of course this is music to my ears! We can control her speed with the harness and today she started to make a small wedge..... did I mention the harness is a killer on the legs of the person skiing behind Emily????

Pretty Pretty Princess

Emily was lucky enough to receive the game Pretty Pretty Princess for Christmas from her Autie Nancy. I had heard of this game but was unaware how lucky we were not to have it in the house...yet. It is a board game and the players move around the board collecting pieces of jewelry as you go. Emily LOVES this game, particularly the earrings. She will do anything to wear the earrings..... even over the crown, which should be the most coveted item as there is only one.
She just won this game as she has all the jewelry!

A Marrying Dress!

We celebrated Christmas with Grandma, Grandpa, Ricky, and Kendall this weekend. They all gave Emily wonderful gifts but the favorite had to be the Ariel Marrying dress and veil!

Dougy was babysitting Peaches the other day and we were lucky enough to get to play with her at our house! She loved pushing the shopping cart around the house and she liked playing with the babies (which we have no shortage of).

Before and After

On December 3 our kitchen was gutted and today it is finished (well, all except staining the doors that hide the washer and dryer). It is quite a transformation, hard to believe it is the same home..it is amazing and we love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
