Wheels Up

What a big couple of days we have had! Emily learned to ride a two wheel bike and tie her shoes in a double knot!

Several of her friends have learned in the last few weeks and she said "I am the last one of the group to learn" With that and the use of a scuut bike, Emily learned in 2 days. she is very proud of herself!

Sunny Day

Last Saturday we were lucky enough to have Avery sleep over. She and Emily slept in Emily's room and all went well! 

For many years Emily would watch one Sesame Street every morning and now that she has given up SS for The Brady Bunch, she is happy to sit with Avery to watch her old favorite again!

Sudden Pitch Tennis!

I have to say this summer is flying by. We have been busy every day with a little of this and a little of that. Emily is getting better and better at tennis and she is loving it. Here she is playing with my friend Kim. To the untrained eye the photos just look like a little girl hitting a few balls, BUT, no...if you look closely there is something else! In several shots you will see that she has already hit the ball but her eyes are still on the contact point. THIS IS VERY GOOD!

The Majestic Theater

On Friday night I took Emily and her friend Emma to see The Wizard of Oz. It was an amazing event and the girls were the hit in the audience in their outfits!

Meanwhile, Back at the Palace...

Our Wednesday mornings at the Palace Theater have begun! We have seen Cinderella (no pictures because I have misplaced my small camera) and Pinocchio. Emily was invited by a friend to see Pinocchio on Tuesday night and she still wanted to go again on Wednesday morning. She loves The Palace!

One Mile

On July 3 Rick and Emily ran a one mile (all downhill) race in Manchester. Emily finished with a smile on her face, which was the best part!

I am embarrassed to say that I brought my big camera and when I was getting ready to shoot a few photos I realized the memory card was still in the computer at home. Rookie mistake.

Emily spent her actual birthday at Santa's Village and we were lucky enough to have Evie join us too! Santa's Village is an amazing place (I actually like it better than Story Land) and they made Emily feel very special on her birthday. They had a birthday sticker ready for her upon arrival (I did email ahead of time), all of the staff made a big deal about her birthday, Santa had a special gift for her, and at the two shows we went to the characters brought her on stage and sang Happy Birthday to her! 

And yes, she wore the elf outfit the entire day!
