Serious Stuff!

No more singing songs
No more obstacle course
No more hand stamps at the end of class

Emily is now in Level 2 gymnastics and it is hard work! She is liking it so far.....
Today her class worked on floor and vaulting exercises. I was not able to get any shots of the vault exercises because the girls were too far away for pictures...and I got scolded for using a flash...most  of these are with no flash.

holding this bridge is part of the warm up
It is hard to tell but there is a band around her wrists to keep her hands closer together to help her cartwheels

More Soccer

I have to admit, I love the saturday morning soccer games. There are so many little (and big) kids playing at one time, it is great to see. Emily continues to hustle around the field but never really gets herself into the action. Her lack of aggression is evident but she does try. Fun to watch her no matter what!

Fairies! Fairies! Fairies!

Emily spent an hour building her fairy house. She spent most of the time decorating it...she does like things to be "fancy."
The little ballet was a perfect way to end our day. We opened and closed the Fairy House Tour this year, I hope Emily still "believes" next year too.

Fairy House Tour

Again this year we went to the Fairy House Tour in Portsmouth. Emily has been over the top excited for the past week. She has had her outfit picked out for days. The day was glorious. We saw so many fairy houses, played in bubbles, played fairy games, and of course, made a fairy house. This is the first of two posts from our magical day.

Someone is excited for....

..the Fairy House Tour!
Emily typed this all by herself, I was shocked to see it when she was finished typing.

I will decipher....
I am going to the fairy house tour. I am going with my friends. I will make a fairy house. I will see a fairy show. I will have fun.

Art Camp

In August, Emily went to art camp at The Currier. The title of the camp was Save the Bat and they did all their projects about endangered animals. As you can imagine, she loved every second!

Jump!

Emily started to jump rope at recess this week. She was intent on getting more than 3 and spent a lot of time practicing one day after school.

A New Season

Emily had her first soccer game last weekend. Early season indicators say that she will hustle like crazy, but always on the outskirts of the action...... stay tuned to see if this early prediction holds up.

Eyes on the Ball!

The most important thing in tennis (besides wearing a cute outfit) is to keep your eyes on the ball. It may be hard to see in these small photos but Emily's eyes are in pretty good form!
