Fairy House Tour

We spent the day at the Fairy House Tour today in Portsmouth. This has always been one of my favorite days of the year with Emily. Some of the houses were quite intricate. The best part, for the girls, is building their own fairy house. There are A LOT of supplies available and there are tons of little girls building houses. It is such a fun day...hopefully it is not our last year... but something tells me.....

U10 Soccer

Emily is having a great time playing soccer again this year! We have a great team and the kids are having a lot of fun. Emily is still more aggressive than she was the first two years but sometimes she panics when she gets the ball. This week they had a (short) game under the lights at Gill Stadium too!

Fishing

Rick and Emily have spent many Sunday mornings fishing. It is a great father/daughter bonding time (I don't care for fishing) and they have a great time together. We had Avery overnight last weekend, and there was a fishing trip planned, so Gigi took one for the team and went fishing too. Rick and Emily have their rituals, a bag of smartfood for the boat, and Rick takes care of all things slimey. Emily only has to cast the rod and reel it in and Rick does the rest. Emily caught 5 fish and Avery caught 2. Avery actually held the fish (not thrilled about it) which Emily would NEVER do.... It was fun to experience but now they can go back to father/daughter fishing.

These were taken at James birthday party! YUM!

She's Come a Long Way Baby

Last weekend James had an animal birthday party and Emma invited Emily to be her gal pal at the party. There were 6 animals there for the children to learn about and touch. The critters included a chinchilla, large bunny, a really big snake (I never saw it), a ferret, hedgehog (cute), and ....I can't remember the 6th. Anyway, Emily touched almost every one (no one touched the hedgehog), this would have been impossible even a year or two ago. She has come a long way with her fear of animals. It has been amazing to watch her overcome a very real fear.

First day of Grade 3

What can I say? She loves school. Her teacher has reputation for being THE BEST. She has great pals and she only looked back at me (5th photo down) because I called her name.
Time flies when you are having fun!

Ruggles Mine

Emily has been dying to go to Ruggles Mine all summer. We finally made the trip last Friday with the Blaisdells. Emily could not have been happier. It is right up her alley, collecting rocks to add to her collection.

This picture explains Caroline to a "T" all others are smiling and looking at the camera and Caroline, not so much
