Wimbledon

We took the tube to Wimbledon just to find out the museum was closed and there were no tours due to clean up after the tournament. Total bummer! Emily and I went back out later in the week and were able to tour the museum and of course shop in the gift shop!!!!

All Lit Up

All of the major landmarks are beautifully lit up at night. On our last night we went down to Big Ben to see the pretty sights!

The Selfie Stick

We purchased (for way more than we should have) a selfie stick in London. We had a lot of fun with it, as you can tell!!!

Emily and I took the train to Windsor to see the castle. I was there in high school but did not take the tour of the inside. The rooms we toured were amazing, and of course the castle is incredible! 

The Palace and The Prince

We had an amazing tour of Kensington Palace, including a dress collection from Princess Diana. After our tour we went for ice cream near the Princess Diana Playground. While we were enjoying our ice cream, we heard a helicopter land on the Kensington Palace grounds. We ran to see who it was and WOW! it was Camilla and Prince Charles! SO FUN!!!! Prince Charles was carrying Camilla's purse with he got off the helicopter, not a very princely thing to do!

The Bus Tour

 On Monday we took a bus tour around the city. It was a wonderful way to see a lot of the city in a short amount of time. We could get on and off the bus and see many different sights! We went to the National Gallery, Westminster Abbey, St. Paul's Cathedral, Harrods, Horse Guards Parade, just to name a few! It was a great day!!!

The London Eye

We were scheduled to go to Acadia National Park last week, and then everything changed and we were off to London! I have been dying to take Emily to London and we got an opportunity we could not pass up to change our trip and go to London! On our first day we went to the London Eye and took a boat ride on the River Thames. Every day we were there was cloudy and a few days were a little rainy, but it didn't stop us from doing so many things!!!
