Ski Days

The season got off to a slow start because the weather was so warm. Now, at least, we have had cold weather to make snow..although the real stuff would be nice! 

Harry Potter Mania

In November, much to my surprise, Emily started reading the Harry Potter series. I NEVER thought she would read these books, never mind be completely OBSESSED by them. I loved them and read them as they were being released, years ago. She is reading the 5th book now and wants to be finished the series before we go to Hogwarts and Diagon Alley in April. I have no doubt she will do it....

Family

We celebrated Christmas 4 out of 5 days last week. We saw lots of family, including all of Emily's cousins!

Christmas Eve

We had another fun Christmas Eve with Doug's kids. Ten kids came and we had pizza, presents, and fun on the trampoline! They are a great group of kids, very polite, appreciative, and nice to one another.

Happy Girl

Emily's beloved and favorite teacher, Mrs Duhaime, retired at the end of last school year. I have been in contact with her and she came back to surprise Emily for her class party day. Emily could not have been more thrilled and I think Mrs. Duhaime was pretty happy too!

The Violin

At Webster School the students can start playing a string instrument in 4th grade. Emily chose the violin. She is really enjoying it and last week they got to use the bow for the first time.
