Last summer Emily did some amazing things in the water. She jumped off every diving board she could and she even jumped off the dock into Lake Sunapee. She was and still is very comfortable in the water. However, this summer she won't jump off a diving board and will barely go in the lake. On Tuesday we were invited to go to the river to swim with friends. Emily look a long time to warm up to the idea of swimming in the river but FINALLY she did it, and loved it. She still won't jump but it is a step in the right direction. I am not sure why the change but perhaps now she knows it is a little scary and last year she didn't have that fear....older and wiser, I think they say?
