Emily's View

While we were at Story Land, Emily really wanted to use my camera to take photos of us. So, as any other mom would do, I strapped the camera around her neck, and prayed she did not drop it. She loved being behind the camera and saying "say cheese!" I have been thinking about getting her a real camera for Christmas, now I hope I can wait that long! Below you will find her first photos....

Story Land

We had two wonderful days at Story Land! The rain held off on Friday until Emily was VERY ready for her nap on the car ride home! The highlight of the trip was seeing Cinderella! We visited her so often that by the third time she knew Emily by name! She was wonderful with the children. Emily also loved driving the tractor (4 times) and the antique car. We stayed away from the rides that you would get wet, for as much as Emily loves to swim, getting wet has to be on her own terms and a shower is out of the question!

I think we have at least 15 photos of Emily and the princess!

Who is this girl?

I would not classify Emily as a risk taker: there are certain things she likes to do but she does not usually push herself...until today. After jumping off the "jumping board" many times, I had to pull her off the jungle gym as she was way too high while trying to step off it onto a trapeze type swing. She then taught herself to flip over on the trapeze swing and then tried to "surf" on a swing..... As my friend Michelle said, as she was watching Emily do all these things, "It all starts with the jumping board!"

Sleeping Beauty

I was not familiar with the story of Sleeping Beauty but now I am. Emily loved it but you can not tell from the photos below....she is showing her serious side!

Emily Time

Emily does everything on her own time. It is quite hard to convince her to do something she does not want to do, and I have not started bribing... Today she decided she was going to jump off the jumping board....and she did, no less than 20 times!

Seussical the Musical!

I have just discovered that the Palace Theater, in Manchester, does plays for children every Wednesday morning. Last week we saw Snow White (I forgot my camera), and this week we saw Seussical, with The Cat in the Hat. The Twinkies, Evan and Kendall, came with us too.

This was Emily's favorite character, Maisey, who was actually the "bad" bird in the show.

YMCA Camp Coniston

This afternoon Emily and I went to Jen's camp! As many of you know, Emily is really scared of animals. However, riding a horse does not seem to be a problem. She loves it, asks to do it, and when finished wants to ride again. She will not pet a horse except on the back but something about riding on it, perhaps the face is far away, seems to be OK. The horses name was Pony and she really loved him....from a far.

A Proud Day For Emily's Mommy!

As I have said before, Emily loves to go to Sudden Pitch to swim in the pool! Today was no exception. First we worked on swimming with out a bubble, which went well and then when she saw her friend Lily jumping in the pool she decided to try it. I was so shocked, and proud that my little girl was jumping in and going under...over and over....and even a few times without her bubble!

It was finally a beautiful day, warm enough to swim! Emily loved the water....except after a boat went by and it made waves...then she would get out of the water and wait for the waves to "go away". We has a great day with Jen, at the lake and the Sunapee Craft Fair!

Baby Cam is ONE!

Our favorite boy is now one year old! Emily got to open all of his presents because he "is too little' so she was in heaven. She squealed in delight with each gift and made sure she showed him each one! She particularly loved the push tricycle and the motorized tractor. We were just sad we did not get to meet Ollie DQ at the party!
