More Wedding!

The wedding weekend was nothing short of wonderful. Ricky and Kendall were VERY happy and everyone had a great time. Besides the oppressive heat on Saturday (better than rain) I don't know how it could have been better. Now they are off to Hawaii for 12 days in Maui!

Rehersal Dinner

On Friday night we hosted the Rehearsal Dinner. I have to say, it was a wonderful evening. Rick made an incredible speech and Kendall's Mom had an amazing slide show. It was a great way to start the weekend!

2009 vs. 2010

Last summer Emily did some amazing things in the water. She jumped off every diving board she could and she even jumped off the dock into Lake Sunapee. She was and still is very comfortable in the water. However, this summer she won't jump off a diving board and will barely go in the lake. On Tuesday we were invited to go to the river to swim with friends. Emily look a long time to warm up to the idea of swimming in the river but FINALLY she did it, and loved it. She still won't jump but it is a step in the right direction. I am not sure why the change but perhaps now she knows it is a little scary and last year she didn't have that fear....older and wiser, I think they say?

Sneakers vs. Make-Up

For Emily's birthday Kathy and Peter gave her some VERY snazzy sneakers! They are pink and covered in sequins. Emily loves them, as do I. However they came with a little make-up kit and Emily REALLY loves it. Check out the new way to wear eye shadow....and all these years I thought it was supposed to go on the eye lid.

Squam Lake Science Center

Last Friday we met one of my college friends, and his family, for a great day at the Squam Lake Science Center. There are lots of animals to learn about, and interactive exhibits to play with. We had a great day!

A Day at the Beach

We spent a great day today at the beach with Kathy, Peter, Emily, Elizabeth (of Clover Street Chronicle fame), and their parents. The girls played very well together as they know each other very well through their Blogs. Aahhhhh, modern day technology.

Dorothy II

Emily has been talking about getting another Dorothy since her other fish died. I thought it might be nice for an early birthday gift. Pets are not really my forte, but a fish is basically harmless....and better than her asking for a dog! We brought home Dorothy The Second and Emily was so pleased.

FYI - Dorothy is the name of Elmo's fish...hence the name
