Amazing!

To the untrained eye, these photos look like best friends boogie boarding together on a wonderful summer day. Only a select few know what a big deal this is! Evie has been taking swim lessons all year, but really has been fearful of the water and not very willing to put her face in the water. She has been making improvements during lessons but I NEVER (and neither did her mom) think she would be in the ocean like this. She even went on her own, without Emily.

Amazing, I tell you!

Father's Day Golf Outing

On Father's Day we went into Philadelphia, to Franklin Square. It was a great park with mini golf, a carousel, and playground. It was Emily's first Mini golf experience and although probably not the "golf" Rick would like to play on FD...it was golf nonetheless!

The course was filled with miniature statues of the hot spots of the city. The Rocky steps are behind the LOVE statue.

Fairy in Training

Abby Cadabby is a Fairy in Training. Emily spent the 2 days at SP dressed as Abby. The pigtail headband was a huge hit with other kids and moms. I probably could have sold it 10 times over. One woman told me she would have given me $20 for it. The funny part is I got it at iParty 2 years ago for a few dollars! Anyway, Emily also carried a magic wand too and would share it with the characters when she had her picture taken with them.

We had 2 Cameron's visit us at SP too. On Monday, Cam (formally Baby Cam) was there and on Tuesday one of my friends since 11th grade came with her family.

Emily loves this ride. This is new at SP and much bigger than the one she goes on at Canobie.

cute

I happen to love water rides

Same Time Next Year

Our first trip to SP, in August 2008, Emily was not too keen on the characters. Now, it is her favorite thing to do at SP!

Dancing on Sesame Street

To say Emily LOVED our 4th trip to Sesame Place would an enormous understatement! She loves the characters, thinks of them as her friends, and sadly wept as we were leaving to go to the airport.

She was very lucky on this trip.....

1. she got to dance with The Count in the night parade

2. She got to dance with Abby Caddaby at the character dinner

3. She and Cam (AKA Baby Cam) got to dance in the day parade

4. she was picked to dance in the Elmo's World show...a big deal!

Clearly, the dance lessons are paying off.....note the sarcasm

Graduation

Last Wednesday was Emily's little graduation and BBQ. It is hard to believe she has been at the Jewish Federation for 2 years already! The last week before school ended she was very sad, tears and all, to be leaving her school. It is ironic because she cried for 8 long and tortuous weeks when she first started as a 3 year old. Now she is crying because "it has been a good school for me"

Yesterday she asked me what day it was, when I said Friday she said "Ooohhhh I should be making Challah Bread today"

Waiting For Ariel

Emily's friends arrived 30 minutes before Ariel. While we were waiting the girls made sand dollar necklaces and had their nails painted. Of course...they also danced on the ceiling, courtesy of Rick. No party can be without dancing on the ceiling.....
