For several weeks Emily has been telling me, and anyone who would listen, that she couldn't see. She was not showing any of the obvious signs that she was having a hard time seeing but I took her to the eye doctor anyway. Of course her eyes are perfect. As soon as the doctor told her the good news he and I could see the disappointment in her face. When we got in the car the BIG tears started to flow. I realized...she really wants glasses! seriously? Who wants glasses?
The next day I took her to Claire's and she picked out a pair of pretend (but real looking) glasses. As soon as she put them on she said "There, that is much better"
