June 21

June 21 may have been our 12th anniversary and Father's Day, but the real holiday was Avery's Recital Day! Much to her parents dismay she has been taking dance lessons and the recital was last weekend. The good news is she went on stage and performed her dance, The best news was were were able to leave after her dance and go to lunch fro Father's Day with her, her parents, and Charlotte!

9 is fine

Keeping with tradition, we had Emily's birthday party a few weeks before her actual birthday. We decided take a break from the "paint your canvas party" and have a tennis party instead. We belong to a small 2 court indoor club that had a nice viewing area, which is a perfect space for a party! A friend of mine from the Y offered to come and do face painting for the girls and she was LEGIT! Complete with air brush and all. The girls absolutely LOVED the face painting!
We played several tennis games and did 2 art projects as well. Emily has such a great group of friends and the girls had a blast!

 so many choices!
 under the air brush
I didn't get too many tennis photos because I was teaching the games

a tennis party is not complete without tennis ball cupcakes

the girls used painters tape on a canvas to make a pattern and then paint the canvas, take off the painters tape and presto! a work of art
the girls made american flag t-shirts with a blue hand print and red stripes. It the pink tank is TIa, Emily's first friend
 all lined up
full crazy

My Girl on the Run

I just finished coaching my first season of Girls on the Run. We had 15 (A full team) girls, six 5th graders and 9, 3rd graders. What a great experience it was for all! The girls were great and the program is amazing. Emily and her teammates loved every minute. On June 7 we had the end of the season 5k. There were over 1,000 girls in GOTR in NH and 2.300 racers on race day. We had great weather for our race and it was a very well organized event! We can't wait for next year!

 my girl loves a medal

we happened to run into Evie along the race course!

LAX

What a fun sport lacrosse is! We have had a great time learning about and watching Emily play this spring. The team us U9 so we have a lot of little girls on the team and this has given Emily the chance to shine on the field. Without Emily, Emma, and Katie this team would have had its struggles. Emily has gotten better with passing and catching, scored many goals, and all we need to work on is her aggressiveness!

score!
I'm open!

Mary Poppins

Emily's dance recital was one of our favorites, Mary Poppins. Her dance company puts on a show instead of just different acts going on stage. It tells the story, and in my opinion, makes the entire thing a lot more interesting. Emily was a sweet treat in lyrical and a newsie in jazz. She loved every minute!

Memorial Day

Every year Webster School does a wonderful Memorial Day program to honor our veterans. Each class sings a patriotic song, the entire school sing songs together, and veteran relatives of students, are honored. I LOVE this program. It is so sweet and a nice way to honor our country, our school, and its veterans.
