First Soccer Practice

Emily had her first practice last week. Four of her friends are on the team so she had a good time hanging with them. Only one person on the team has played soccer before so we will see how the season goes.....first game on Saturday....stay tuned.

Tia's Birthday

Ariel came to Tia's Birthday party on Saturday. Emily was looking froward to seeing Ariel again and Ariel did not disappoint. It was magical and Emily's face says it all.

Belly Flop Dive

On Friday we were at a friends pool and the girls spent over 3 hours in the (heated) pool. Emily started doing these belly flops, and did not mind the sting that must have followed. Also, I think the backstroke might be her stroke!

Back in the Saddle

We were lucky enough to be invited back to Camp Coniston to go riding again. Emily rode Charlie this time and he was a very clam and well behaved horse, compared to Jasmine who was very fast and feisty! Rick was able to come with us which was an extra treat.

Emily's Cinderella

Two years ago Cinderella gave us her email address and wanted a photo of her and Emily because Emily was her most frequent visitor in a 24 hour period.... ever. We visited her many times last year and this year, when she saw Emily, she said"Hi Emily". Seriously? Cinderella remembered her name and Emily was beside herself. We saw her at least 7 times this year and Emily even got to walk down the hill with her when she was walking to have lunch! The sad part is, this is her last summer at SL and we will have to break in a new Cinderella next year!

After the Gloves

Our three day mini vacation, to Story Land and Santa's Village, can be broken into two parts; Before the Gloves and After the Gloves. While at SL we let Emily pick one thing in the store to buy. She picked the most amazing pair of hot pink, satin, jeweled gloves that a 5 year old could only dream about. Once she got them she did not take them off for the rest of the trip. She received lots of comments from EVERYONE about them and she was so pleased because they are so "fancy".

Love the Elf game at SV. Emily and the E Elf

The line for the antique cars is crazy long at SL, here at SV the line is only a few minutes. I will say that on Thursday we were the first into SL and she was the first driver that day.

Squam Lake Science Center

The SLCC is a great place! There are a lot of thinks to do. There are many animals, hands on activities, animal meet and greets, just to name a few. I don't have any photos of any of these things. What I have photos of... is Emily's outfit, complete with scarf and Uggs...and don't forget Napper, she is in the backpack!

One Mile

The 19th annual Cigna 5K was held in Manchester on Thursday night. Emily heard me talking about it and showed an interest in running in it. I did not pay too much attention to her request until she made it 3 times, and then Rick offered to run with her. I was watching the race with some friends at the one mile mark so Rick and Emily ran the first mile and then we watched the rest of the race together. Emily ran almost the entire mile and seemed to have a good time! It was a perfect distance for her.

Fun with Cam

On Thursday Cam came to play with us at Sudden Pitch. The kids had a lot of fun playing together. They played in the climbing structure (below) for a long time. I think they were playing some type of "workshop" game.

We were trying to get Cam to move his hand away from his eye.....

...Emily tried too...

Cozy!

Summer at the Palace

Every Wednesday, at 10am, we go to the Palace Theater in downtown Manchester for a play. This is,by far, Emily's favorite part of the week. She plans her outfit a week ahead of time and makes a picture for each princess. The princesses are very gracious when Emily gives them each picture. Aladdin told Emily he would hang Jasmines picture on the palace refrigerator.

Emily does not have any costume from the Wizard of Oz so she wore the Korean outfit (from a Korean co-worker of Rick's) to the show. When we were leaving the show a Korean woman came up to me and said "beautiful outfit, those are worn only by people of distinction
in Korea". I have been calling this outfit a Korean Princess outfit...who knew I was right?
