Party

We had Emily's birthday party a little early this year. It was a great day, with Grandma, Grandpa, Ricky, Kendall, Evie, Tia, etc. It is hard to believe she will be 4 in two days. I am not ready to have a 4 year old and I am not quite sure where the time has gone. I have enjoyed every day with my girl, more than I ever thought possible.

So happy with her "Emily" from Grandma

She never knows quite what to do with herself during the singing

More Fun at Sunny Day

It has been amazing to watch the changes in Emily each year we go back to Sesame Place. The first year she was afraid of the characters and now they are her favorite thing. This year we got her to try a water ride and the lazy river. She "liked" them, or at least so she said. Here are a few photos for an overview of our two days there and we can't wait to go back next year!

Rick can't handle this ride, so I went on with Emily several times!

Our favorite, Abby Cadabby

I happen to love water rides!

The Count

One of the characters Emily was the most interested in was The Count. She wanted the doll and she wanted to see him up close and personal. We saw him in the parade and he came up to her in the parade twice which pleased her to no end. We finally asked when he could be out for photos and we waited to see him. When he came out he held her hand and they walked to his "spot" together. She showed him her Count doll and she had a great time with him.
FYI.....I was afraid of the count when I was little.

Our Favorite Boy

We just returned from 2 wonderful days at Sesame Place in Philadelphia. This is our third year going and it was as great as ever! On Monday we had a special treat.....Baby (when will I stop calling him that?) Cam was there too! He is visiting his grandparents in Baltimore and they had this trip already planned before they knew we would be there too. We had a ton of fun with Maria, Cam, and his Grandma and Grandpa.

Poor Cam, Emily is trying to get him to look at the camera

He was a little scared of the characters......

.......but not Elmo! He ran up to him all by himself!

Where Did the Year Go?

Emily had her Step Up Day at school on Wednesday. It is hard to believe the year is over already. I feel like it was yesterday when she was crying everyday before/during school. This lasted a long 8 weeks but she survived and so did I. She loves her school and particularly her friends from school. She is looking forward to being in the 4 year old classroom with "Miss Lorie. I just hope that enthusiasm lasts until September

Opening Night!

After weeks of practice Emily had her play last night! It was a huge success and she loved every minute of it. She did a great job. She knew all the songs and the movements and did each one with enthusiasm!

Grammy came for the special event!

Canobie Lake Park

We spent a great day yesterday with Tia, Lisa, Lisa's sister Jen and her daughter Skylar, at Canobie Lake Park. It was our first time there and we were not disappointed! There were no lines for any of the kiddie rides and most of the time the girls could just stay on and ride again! Emily loved the swings and the girls even went on the Tea Cups....which made me sick just looking at them!
Emily's hand is on her ear because she is on the phone!

Are they 16 yet?

Pizza

Last week Emily's class went on a field trip to Papa Gino's. Each child made his/her own pizza. There were many choices of topping but all Emily put on her pizza was cheese, not even sauce. I tried to explain that there is always sauce on pizza when she eats it...I got nowhere with this conversation so I just dropped it all together.

I am Speechless

Emily's school puts on a play at the end of the school year called Under the Fence. The children in her school are basically the chorus and there are older children who have speaking parts, etc. I wasn't really sure how it would play out, or if she would like it but you heard it here first....SHE LOVES IT. She loves the songs, the moves that go with the songs, and everything in between. The other funny thing is that she is reasonably good at it (for a 3 year old). She knows all the words, the movements and there are only about half of the children who do anything at all.
In the play she is going to be a dog and the dog gets to leave the stage and "search" thru the audience for water......look how happy she is.

I know what you are all thinking, and don't even say it...... tennis, soccer, skiing!

This is the first rehearsal with the big kids and she is constantly looking at them in the middle of the stage

I hate to say it but the weather, so far this spring, has been great! We had 2 beach days in before the end of May and I have already been in the ocean once!
